Genuine IMEI number implant centers

Come December 1^st, all the cell phones without genuine IMEI number will be blocked by their respective operators. They will not be able to either make or receive calls.

It is estimated that most number of handsets without valid IMEI numbers lie in the states of Delhi, Tamilnadu, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh.

For any mobile, you can know the IMEI number by dialling *#06#

Note that sometimes, you may have an IMEI number showing up when you dial the above code, but that IMEI number may not be a valid one. It could be that your IMEI number was cloned from a different but ORIGINAL handset.

If your IMEI number is a valid one, it should exist in the updated GSMSA list (that contains the IMEI numbers of all GSM mobiles in the world).

To find out whether your IMEI number is valid or not you can type IMEI<space>Your 15 digit IMEI number and send it to 57886.

You’d immediately get a reply indicating whether the IMEI number is genuine one or not.

If it isn’t a genuine one, you can still use your handset but have to first implant a genuine IMEI number from ICA approved centers, called GII centers.
