It was all exciting applying for Aadhaar card. Our process was smoothly completed on June 13 and since then, it was just waiting period. UIDAI officially tells us that the cards may take from 60 to 90 days to be delivered at the address mentioned in the application form. We’ve also seen some people mentioning that although they’ve applied together as a family, the cards were being sent individually, one by one.
In our case, more than 4 months have passed and there is no sight of cards yet; not even one of our 6 family members have received their card. Even worse, the Aadhaar card status doesn’t show anything when we input our temporary enrolment ID.
When this mega project first began, everyone was full of praise for its organizers. Over the past few months, the situation has reversed with people raising their fingers at few people involved in the project. Charges of possible corruption are also not out of sight.
What ever it might be, if the delivery mechanism isn’t good, then the grand registration process only worth the same.
