There are rumours doing circles that Telecom Operators, again lead by Airtel, are thinking of cutting 2G Data offer to half. Airtel presently offers 2GB of data for Rs.98 a month. After the change, if implemented, this will be down to 1GB for Rs.98 a month.
Till that happens, here’s a list of all service providers and their monthly 2G Data offers:
BSNL: Rs.98 for 3GB or Rs.54 for 300MB in Day and 2GB at nights
Airtel: Rs.98 for 2GB
Vodafone: Rs.98 for 4GB
Tata Docomo: Rs.95 for 4GB or Rs.65 for 2.5GB
Idea: Rs.96 for 2GB
Aircel: Rs.97 – Unlimited usage
Tata Indicom (CDMA 1X): Rs.94 for 5GB or Rs.43 for 2GB
Uninor: Rs.90 for 6GB
Reliance (RCOM): Rs.99 for 3GB
And of course, if you are patient enough with the slow 2G speed, you can even connect your mobile phone to your computer through appropriate phone software and data cable and browse Internet through your PC.
