What’s happening, Airtel? Few days back I got a pleasant surprise. My validity that was to expire in 2012 has nicely been extended till 2037.
Today when I wake up and made a call to my dear one, I see a message that my ‘Lifetime validity will expire in December 2015’. While the period is certainly decreased, a talktime of Rs.100 has been added to my prepaid number. Really strange things these.
Not that I care or worry that my prepaid number’s validity is reduced from 2037 to 2015 (heck, I don’t even know if I will even be using this same number till 2015; well, I would, mostly), but adding Rs.100? That’s really strange.
If I remember correctly, the terminology of showing the balance has also changed. There was no mention of ‘Lifetime validity’ when it was up to 2037; it was just shown as validity. But it seems as if my lifetime is decided by Airtel to end by December 2015.
My numbers’ lifetime, that is.
