Live TV on your mobile – Airtel Mobile TV

If you are an Airtel customer and have a compatible mobile handset, then this should be good news to you. Airtel Introduced mobile TV application using which you can watch live TV on your mobile handset. Unlike other TV applications (for mobile) that you may have heard before where you get channels that you never saw before, this application gives you access to almost all the important channels in each sector.

The application is designed (and unfortunately exclusively) for those slow GPRS connection mobiles so that you get to watch more video than the buffering part.

What I meant to say was that the application doesn’t support wifi, even if you have a wifi enabled device. So, you need a Data Plan (Rs.98 Unlimited Internet plan will do) to watch the channels.

Also, you need to pay an upfront fee of Rs.40 that has a validity of 7 days with 80 minutes of Air time.

To get the app, you need to SMS TV to 54321 (toll free). Follow the link which you’ll get in the reply SMS and download the application. Depending on your mobiles user agent, you’ll be automatically taken to the appropriate download page.
