Airtel GPRS Offer for Nokia users

In an attempt to further popularize its email and IM clients  Nokia Messaging for email and Nokia Messaging for IM, Nokia has carved an exclusive GPRS Data deal with the country’s largest mobile Operator Airtel. The normal GPRS tariff in Airtel at present is Rs.98 for 2GB with 30 days validity or Rs.51 for 500MB with 15 days validity.

When you buy a New Nokia device, your monthly GPRS tariff is trimmed to Rs.49 with the same 2GB Data limit (marketed as Unlimited Data) and 30 day validity. This offer is valid for 2 months from the date of offer activation (2GB at Rs.49 for each month). Post two months, you’ll have to choose between the normal GPRS plans said a while ago.

To activate this plan, simply send an SMS as DATA to 543210.

Post 2GB of usage in any month, you’ll be charged at 30ps/50kB.

This offer is only available for Airtel Prepaid customers with a ‘eligible Nokia Handset’ (Send an SMS as said above to check if your Nokia device is compatible or not).

Although not official, we believe this to be compatible with only certain mid to high end Nokia Handsets such as 5130, 5230, 5233, 5235, 5530, 5800, X6, E63, E71, E72, N79, N86, N97 and N97 mini.
