Airtel DTH services overview

Airtel DTH Services, under the name of Airtel Digital TV, although late to enter the DTH market is growing leaps and bounds in terms of its subscribers. This can be largely attributed to its strong presence in Telecom sector across the Country. However, one of the other major reasons for its success is its implementation of latest technologies like MPEG4 DVB S2 that offers crystal clear images and sound with utmost clarity.

Other technological options such as Pause Live TV, Record TV that made Tata Sky (Plus) so popular are available on Airtel DTH too, via Airtel Digital TV recorder.

On the customer service front, Airtel DTH service is termed as ‘the best’ in the country according to some consumer surveys. Airtel DTH service has some 10000 trained Engineers exclusively for service and Installation purpose.

On the payments front, it again has many options, just as it has for its Mobile network, through Online via Credit cards, mCheck, and various others, SMS, Calling their IVR number or through thousands of third party retailers.

Its retail distribution too is superior, again thanks to its already wide spread Airtel Relationship centers and thousands of other third party retailers.

If you are somewhere in the North, don’t think of any thing else but Go and buy an Airtel DTH now. But if you are in the South, wait a little more or look at other options, your best bet would be Tata Sky (Plus, if you want recording feature).
