Zen Orbit Z90 mobile – A twisting touch screen phone

For all the chicks out there who carry a mirror in their handbag, here is the first of its kind phone in India, Orbit Z 90 whose back is as reflective as your portable mirror. The first looks of the phone gives you and impression that its ‘Yet Another’ qwerty device but, it’s not. Its structure looks similar but it has a traditional abc def …keypad.

The structure is extremely unique. It looks normal at one moment and it’s a completely new thing the other moment. It’s a slider type mobile where the screen part completely covers the keypad area when your slide down. That’s quite normal huh, here is some thing new; the screen part can take a complete 180 degree turn. Unlike other phones in this price range and category that rarely feature a camera of more than 2mp, this one bags a nice 3mp camera (no flash sadly) and coupled with the twisting screen, you have loads of angles to look at your photographs. But, if you are a heavy photo clicker or a constant chatterbox, the battery stamina is a real dampener at only 2.5 hrs of talk time. Click some more pictures and play videos; that talk time decreases to less than 2 hours.

Needless to say these days, Orbit Z90 features dual sim (dual GSM) (Also see Zen Z77 mobile). It has a 2.4 inch touch screen (don’t expect any quality there). Date transfer can be made through GPRS, Bluetooth, High speed USB. A 3.5mm standard headphone jack completes the output of Orbit Z90.

The music player can play can play songs in mp3, wav, amr and aac formats besides a FM Radio.

The phone has a motion sensor that may be handy if you find any good arcade games to play. It’s hard to find any third party applications or games for such mobiles. Fortunately, for Orbit Z90, you have the support of Java which is used by many applications. You also have various in built themes to design your phone to different occasions.

You can also set pictures for all your contacts that should appear when they call you.

Orbit Z90 is priced at Rs.5399.
