Samsung S3500, the first look at the mobile tells me that it is nicely coated up from the outside, inside specifications left for the time being. It’s completely made of stainless steel on its outer surfaces taking out the fingerprints issues out of equation that you may experience in case of a neat black coated mobile.
This one is a slider phone; the 2mp camera slides out from the top vertically in order to take pictures. The Operating System used is Samsung Own OS which of course supports Java applications, you in fact get 7 pre loaded Java Games with this mobile.
The screen is quite big at 2.2” and with a resolution of 240×320.
What is missing?
Although I said that it has a 2mp camera, it lacks a flash, which according to me is a serious drawback when you use camera more often than not.
Also since this mobile doesn’t support 3G network, take video calling out of the picture.
It also doesn’t have a wi-fi system; it doesn’t have an html browser any way, so having wi-fi would be of very little use. All you have is a WAP and loading web pages other than those designed for wap mobiles takes eternity.
Price and features
But for a price of Rs.5000, you can’t expect for those features to be in there right?
What this one does posses, is a nice sounding FM radio with recording facility, Podcasting, Radio RDS, Bluetooth, email support (through mailbox settings that is), a 30mb internal phone memory and an external expandable memory up to 8gb for storing all your MP3 songs and videos, a Samsung special world clock, Stop watch and a count down timer.
