Samsung Corby Speed CDMA
While Tata Indicom offers free data usage of 10GB with any plan with a validity of 2 months, Reliance CDMA offers 15 GB free data for its Post paid customer with a validity of 2 months (10GB for prepaid customers with 1 month validity)
The special emphasize in the phone is obviously the speed. Since it works on the CDMA network, Samsung promises a speed of up to 2.4Mbps, nearly matching your Tata photon‘s and MTS India USB’s.
Corby Speed has a 7.1 cm full touch screen with Samsung own proprietary browser. The camera is powered by a 2mp lens supported by an expandable memory of up to 8GB that can store loads of pictures, songs and videos. The internal memory too is good at 80mb that will make your mobile more swift.
You have features like Multi format Video audio player, Email client and applications like Facebook, Orkut, My space, Picasa, Friendster, Photobucket, Twitter, Flickr come in as default so you never have to reach your computer again to prick your friends.

I have bought a new mobile phone Samsung Corby TV CDMA handset.I want internet and mobile TV service on my handset using my old tata indicom sim.I use OMH RUMI card of tata indicom.But it has been more than 15 days days but I am still not getting that service.I was aksed to upgrade my sim to OMH and rechare with 17 Rs.I did everything But not getting the service.I have made several complaint about it but I am not getting any response from your side.I think this very disgusting that you are not helping your customers even when we are using tata indicom since 5 years.I had gone to your service centre in Patna they upgraded my habdset but its not working.I had gone to your outlet near Dankbangla in Patna and made a written complaint there but nothing is working for me…..So I am really not satisfied with this………bad bad bad phon

After lot of Research with Reliance web world & reliance CC, I brought the phone. I have a Reliance post paid connection. I even got my Phone software upgrade from Samsung Service centre. Even i got OMH card activated. At the time of activation, Reliance CC told to contact *222 or *333 to activated or avail the offer of free 15GB data usage /pm for two months & two or three months free live Tv on the phone. I call up *222, they told to call 180030005555. I call it, they told me to go the Reliance WW where you got OMH card activated. So pls guide me how to avail this offer – for which i brought this phone specially.

I have Purchased Samsung Corby Speed and Its i working Fine with OMH card. Even High speed is working with help of reliance Netconnect Help 1800 3000 5555 (toll Free).
But Please tell me what you will do with High Speed as The hand set has low resolution so Big text don’t let you see mails properly. Secondly major flaw in this Handset is it “”DOES NOT SUPPORT APPLICATIONS SUCH AS GMAIL,GOOGLE MAPS, YOU TUBE, MINI OPERA, YAHOO GO AND ALL LOT AVAILABLE IN THE MARKET”" So if you are not able to use applications why do you need Corby Speed.
You should wait for number Portability and convert your CDMA Into GSM and than use any handset including Samsung corby for GSM which is even cheaper and use all applications.
In The Last I will Say Don’t Buy Corby Speed for Data, But Corby Just because you don’t have better choice than corby for looks and style in CDMA.

I am using the corby and MINI OPERA is downloded there , i am able to surf with MINI OPERA4.2 browser, but after surfing some amount of data (aprox 240 to 460 kb) my connection is lost , and it happens every time. How can i make the stable connection with opera server.(I have tried with both HTTP and Socket connection)
The problem ‘could’ be with the CDMA connection and not with Opera itself.
Check these:
1.Is this happening for any particular website or in general?
2.Try using any Application (Gmail, for example) on your phone that needs connection to the internet. Does the connection get lost here too?

Usually they are giving R-UIM sim only if you purchase phone from reliance WW only, since its new phone they don’t have much clearity on it. The net will work only if u have r-uim sim.

@bchsekhar, OMH SIM card is required to access high speed Internet (2.4 Mbps) on Corby Speed.
Did you get a new RUIM card (called “OMH” SIM card)with Corby? If you haven’t got it please visit a Tata Indicom store or Reliance Web world (Or Virgin, MTS or BSNL) and ask for an OMH SIM card. You may also call them and confirm about the availability. I believe the card comes free and you could use a Handset Change Card to move your subscription from the old card to the new OMH SIM card. It just take a few minutes. Hope this helps

Recently I bought samsung speed corby. After 4 days follow up with the dealer today, I got the RUIM card (OMH. But it is from Tata indicom. I am using Reliance connection. When I enquired with Reliance webworld, they don’t know anything as they are not aware of this instrument as well as RUIM card.
Kindly advice whether I can use this Tataindicom card for Reliance service provider

hello joe i purchase corby speed from reliance,cdma prepaid which offer 10GB for prepaid customers with 1 month validity but when i acess net from my computer using my corby speed my balance cuts.
Samsung Corby Speed CMDA is of no use as its uses OMH Technologies for Data Transer so you cant use any data services with the normal tata or reliance sim card.Both Reliance and Tata does not provide the OMH Enabled Ruim as claimed by the samsung so dont waste money on the new samsung OMH handset as you wont we able to use all the new features
