Here we are today after a long vacation gap with another Dual sim mobile that is going to rock in this IPL season, the Max mobile MX425. The looks are fantastic, giving you a toned steely impression from every angle. The thing (and probably the only thing) that is slightly disappointing is its keypad, that resembles those cheap Nokia phones keypad giving you a rubber(ish) feel. I’ve found that such keypads wear much quickly than the others.
Max MX425 features
As said above, this is a dual sim mobile (both GSM) and also has a touch enabled screen (Now please don’t expect any quality there, you actually might have to hit the screen some times to get it to work). Since this features a touch screen, the screen size is slightly big (at 2.4 inches) than the one’s you see in this category (cheap dual sim mobiles).
Max MX425 has Bluetooth function that can transfer files quickly between yours and your friend’s mobiles. There’s also a LED torch apart from the digital camera. Its music player can play songs in mp3 and the video player plays the videos in mpeg4 format. There is a FM radio but with no support for RDS and recording.
Its internal memory is good enough to store 1000 contacts, SMS and MMS. The external memory can be expanded up to 2GB (mmc card).
The predicted talktime of the phone is around 6 hours (which is good) and the stand by time is nearly 200 hours.
Apart from these basic features, you also have the Anti theft feature that can track your mobile (or make it unusable) in case it gets stolen.
Along with the phone, you get ear phones, batteries, a stylus, a data cable (to connect to your PC) and a charger. You can download the PC Suite (called as the ‘mySync’ software) from the website to Sync your phone data with your PC.
