If you ever though of buying a HTC phone or any other touch phone in the near vicinity, here’s a good reason for you to defer your decision for a while. HTC is shortly coming up with its second Android based phone, HTC Magic. And with research studies claiming that the Android OS could be the next big thing in mobile world, you could bet that Magic will stand up to its name.
The first version of Android based mobile G1 was terribly missing some basic features found in today’s mobile phones, Video recording and Bluetooth connectivity. Google has since then updated its Android software and the HTC Magic now has both those features included along with other features.
It’s exclusively designed for Vodafone users and so will be introduced in UK, France, Germany and Italy first followed by other Vodafone markets. HTC Magic supports a very high speed 3.5G network connection with Wi-Fi support. The camera is of 3.2 megapixels with auto focus and the screen has a resolution of 320×480 pixels. Since Android belongs to Google, you have all the Google products viz. Gmail, Reader, YouTube, G Talk, Calendar, Search etc.

One thing to remember here is that the Magic doesn’t have a QWERTY keyboard. Having said that, the trackball present in Magic can be compared with the best in the market. The lack of a complete keyboard made the HTC Magic very light weighing just 116 grams and you could say that it could compete with the thinnest of phones present in the market.
