Experience Touch Screen at a lower price – Karbonn mobiles

What comes to your mind when I say ‘Touch screen phone‘? If it’s not the Apple iPhone then you may have to brush up your mobile phone knowledge once again. I haven’t seen such a responsive touch screen mobile in the recent times. Al though people claim that Nokia 5530 Xpress music, which happens to be a child of the successful 5800 Xpress music phone, is as responsive as the iPhone. But I couldn’t put my hands on it, as it is yet to be made available in local stores. Sad that it is almost a week that 5530 was announced and still no signs of it in Nokia stores. You know, 5530 Xpress music is priced at only Rs.13500. So it’s a great entry level phone to get the touch screen experience with all the features that it’s mother 5800 has minus GPS and 3G (which is any how non-sense in India)

If you want to experience touch screen phones at even a lower price, then here is the Karbonn mobile K560. We’ve recently introduced Karbonn mobiles Dual sim phone that can make a mark in the industry and now this one can prove to be the beginners’ choice of a touch screen.

All though not great looking with only a 2.4 inch interface at 240×320 resolution, this one has got the  advantage of a Touch screen cum Dual Sim. Ever heard of both these features being together leaving behind  those rubbish Chinese made handsets?

The talktime of 3 hrs is ok considering the Dual sim capability. This one has a 2 MP camera but no LED flash.

It supports GSM 900, 1800 and GPRS (no EDGE sadly).

Other data transfer modes include Bluetooth, PC Sync, USB 2.0 and a nice built in data/fax modem.

Now this one’s the biggest loophole. The internal phone memory is only 500KB, what crap? Al though the  memory is expandable up to 4 GB, an Internal memory of 500Kb is never heard of in the recent past.

Supports www but only through WAP. No JAVA support and neither is GPS. Fortunately there is at least an  FM radio in there. Dedicated keys for camera, FM and music player are provided and by the way it supports  mp3, midi, amr and wav audio formats and 3gp video formats.

Other notable features include Power saver option, Anti theft feature, World clock, Currency converter and health management.

So the message is clear, experience Touch Screen and only Touch Screen.
