Sachin Tendulkar joins twitter – And records follow him here too

This may not be a post related to Sports, but it is on a person that many consider as being God of one Sport, Cricket. No prizes for guessing, it’s Sachin Tendulkar who announced that he is ‘Officially’ on twitter now. His ID, which is ‘sachin_rt’ is a bit tricky but not difficult to remember. Thanks to his Son arjun that at least Sachin_rt is left without taking as both Sachin and Sachintendulkar are already taken.

His first tweet was:

Finally the original SRT is on twitter n the first thing I’d like to do is wish my colleagues the best in the windies

Master and the Records

I do not have the statistics but Sachin could well be the person with the fastest 100000 record. Records are nothing new to the Master but this time he was surprised to see such high number of followers in such short time that he also became a ‘Verified Account’ with in 1 day of Opening the account.

He says:

Can’t believe the response I got in such a short time.Had a wonderful dinner with my close friends tonight.The evening was superb.Goodnight

At the point of writing this article, Sachin has 103,831 followers. Ohh and If I refresh his page, I’ll see another 50 followers add up to that. That’s crazy fan following.

Priyanka Chopra and SRK are the only Indian celebrity that has some worthy follower numbers but that won’t be for long as the Master himself will be overtaking them in no time.
