Here you go, yet another offer from the state run BSNL, this time citing MNP. The company has announced that it will complete waive off MNP Porting charges and will also offer additional benefits to customers to make a shift to BSNL from other providers. The offers are as follows:
Free 32 K Sim card (Note: if you are shifting to BSNL for 3G, then it’s better to take a USIM; You have to pay the Sim card cost in this case)
For Prepaid subscribers: Free talk time of Rs.100 and 5GB 2G Data for 1 month
For Postpaid subscribers: Flat 50% off in Fixed monthly charge for the first month, 5GB 2G Data for 1 month (but if the plan you are in currently, before porting, offers higher data than 5GB, then that remains after porting too).
Piece of Advice: MNP is all about shifting to a better over-all service provider. Getting attracted to these short-term offers will make you land in the same place where you are currently.
Do some research regarding their network strength, customer service, plans that suits you etc; If you find that the network you wish to shift to as the best in your circle, then simply consider the above offers as a Bonus.

You will have the same balance with your new operator. That is, the balance will be transferred.
