The management team of Tata Motors has just unveiled the much awaited booking process for getting your hands on a Tata NANO.
The first phase of booking process starts from April 9 and ends on April 25th. A list of 1 lac applicants will be selected randomly and their bookings will be validated. For other customers who do not list in the first 1 lac list, Nano is offered at an interest rate of 8% for the first year and 8.75 % in the second year.
The delivery of Nano is most likely to start from early July 2009.
The booking forms will be available in all Tata Motors showrooms and other authorized centers, SBI branches, West side showrooms, The world of Titan, Chroma showrooms which are distributed across India and count to more than 30,000.
Bookings can also be made online and payment can be made through net banking which includes 34 banks.
The booking form will cost Rs.300 and a booklet with car details will be Rs.1100.
SBI bank is chosen as the exclusive collector of bookings.
Tata Motors has appointed some companies as their preferred partners. Booking through such preferred partners can be made with amount as low as Rs.3000 for the base version and a slightly higher price for higher versions. There are 15 such preferred partners now (See the list in www.tatanano.com) and efforts are being taken to increase the list.
The promotion of Tata Nano is exclusively made through Internet in the form of banners and pop-ups. So the next time you see pop-up, chances are that it’s a Nano and never let the chance go by but book it right away.

Tata Nano is being launched on 23 march 2009. The car makes history as it becomes the cheapest car in the world. Bookings for Nano would be open between April 9 and April 25.
Tata Motors is aiming to start delivering the units to the customers from July this year.
