Airtel,Beep india introduces a whole new form of mobile advertising

I have always been a big fan of airtel,the number ‘one’ mobile service provider in India.It gives me the feeling that i belong to India.Did you watch the recent advertisement by Bharti(airtel),reminding its logo change?

Wasn’t that inspiring?

Now with its new leap into mobile advertising i can’t hold myself from becoming MAD about airtel.

Airtel india with yet another ‘first of its kind in India’ has introduced mobile advertising in a whole new way in partnership with ‘Beep india’.

‘Mobile advertising through SMS is and age old method of advertising’ ,says Beep.Now watch advertisements right on your mobile screens.

So why should you put someone’s ads on your mobile? Is that the question your asking right?

Airtel has got an answer for that.It gives you (credits) Rs.100 A-A talktime every month.

This is still early days for this contract between airtel and Beep and is only in testing phase.

So there are some restrictions on who can use this application.

If you have a mobile which supports the application installation and reside in Hyderabad ( Don’t know about other metros),you are all set to get Rs.100 A-A talktime every month.

Now there are 2 ways to get this application in to your mobile.

One is to send and SMS to 52288(toll free) with matter as ‘Beep’.

You’ll get a confirmation from Beep saying ‘thank you for your interest…’.

You’ll get a link in the next SMS through which you should download the application and install it.

One time download charges of Rs.2 apply.

But these days the Link SMS isn’t following the confirmation SMS.

So the best way is to directly download the application (link removed) from the Beep site by entering your details.

I have done this a week back and running ads successfully on my screen.But for most of the time i see only the ‘Airtel,express yourself’ ad.

I think this is because advertisers aren’t seeing much scope in this form of advertising.

So lets all make this new initiative from airtel stay long and make it a grand success.
