West Bengal Power Development Corporation invites applications from eligible Indian Nationals for the following posts:
Graduate Engineer Trainees (Power Stations): For this you need to have an Engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Power plant with at least 65% from a recognized institute.
Graduate Engineer Trainee (Civil): For this you need to have an Engineering degree in Civil with at least 65% marks from a recognized Institute.
Students in their final year can also apply provided that they can produce final certificate in original at the time of Interview. In this case, marks of 7 semesters will be considered.
The age limit is 26 years as on 01.01.2009
During the training, all the GET’s would get a stipend of Rs.20000 per month for 1 year. After which a written test and an Interview would be conducted and if successful, you’ll be selected as an Assistant Manager with a payband of Rs.15600 – 39100 plus a grade pay of Rs.5400 plus DA.
Apart from Graduate Engineer Trainee vacancies, there are also vacancies for the posts of Managers (personal and administration), Safety officers, Sr Security officers/Security Officers, Librarians, Assistant Sub Inspectors, Nurse cum midwives for which a qualification in respective subjects plus sufficient work experience is required.
Application fee is Rs.300 (no fee for SC/ST/EC/Departmental/contract workers of wbpdcl) which should be paid in the form of a DD taken in favour of ‘The West Bengal Power Distribution Company’, payable at Kolkata.
