The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has come up with a huge recruitment notification to recruit 35000 Constables in UP Police department.
The split up of vacancies are as follows:
OBC – 9450 Vacancies
SC – 7350 Vacancies
ST – 700 Vacancies
Un-reserved – 17500 Vacancies
Age requirement: The candidates must have been born after January 2nd 1987 but before January 1st 1991. That is, he should be between 18 and 22 years of age as on 01.01.2009. Relaxation to SC/ST and other candidates are applicable as per Government rules.
Scale of pay: Rs.5200-20200 with a Grade pay of Rs.1900.
Educational qualification: The candidate must have passed 12th or its equivalent.
However, preference will be given to those candidates with 2 years experience in Pradeshik seva.
The candidate should have a NCC B certificate and certificate in basic computer applications.
Physical qualifications: The candidate must at least be 168cms in height (160cms for ST) for male with a corresponding weight and 152cms for Female (147cms for ST).
Males should have a chest perimeter of 84cms (82cms for ST).
There will be initial Long run test to filter out candidates. A long run of 10kms must be completed in 60 minutes by Males and a Run of 5kms must be completed in 35 minutes by Females.
Application procedure: Interested and eligible candidates are advised to approach any head Post offices in Uttar Pradesh and obtain the OMR application form by paying a fee of Rs.50.
These forms will be available between 10.07.2009 and 10.08.2009.
Application forms must be filled in completely and must be submitted to the same post offices from where it was purchased on or before 10.08.2009.
