United bank of India, a premier public sector bank invites applications from eligible candidates for the posts of Probationary cash cum general clerk.
Total number of vacancies is 500.
Age requirement
Minimum age of 21 and maximum age of 28 is required for general candidates.
Relaxations in age for other classes are applicable as per government rules.
Educational qualification
The candidate must have passed 10+2 examination or equivalent with 60% marks in aggregate. 5% relaxation available to candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC/PC Category Or Graduate in any discipline from any recognized university. Candidate must have successfully completed a computer course of at least 3 months’ duration from any Institute recognized by Central/State Govt./AICTE.
No post-qualification experience is required.
Selection procedure
Selection of candidates will be made through a written test followed by an Interview.
The written test will be held on 28.06.2009
Application procedure
The candidate must draw a DD of Rs.200 incase of General and OBC and Rs.50 in case of SC/ST/PC in favour of “United bank of India clerical recruitment project-2009″ payable at Mumbai.
Candidate’s name, date of birth, Address, Post Code & Registration Number should be written on the back of demand draft /bankers’ cheque.
Only online applications are encouraged. The candidates are advised to apply online following this link .
After applying online, the candidate has to take a printout of the generated application form in an A4 size paper.
A self attested photo must be affixed at the appropriate place on the generated form.
The following certificates must be attached along with the Generated form and DD.
- Xerox copy of School leaving certificate in support of Date of Birth.
- Xerox copy of the Final Degree certificate in respect of passing Graduation examination (Provisional Certificate will be accepted only if the candidate has passed the relevant examination during the past one year i.e. 2008 or the university has not yet issued the certificate).
- Year wise /semester-wise Mark sheets for the Graduate and Post Graduate degree or Professional Course.
- Medical Certificates in case of Physically Challenged candidates.
System Generated Online Application Form complete in all respects enclosing the above documents and the relevant Demand Draft / Bankers’ Cheque should be sent in a closed envelope by ordinary post only superscribing as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF Probationary Cash cum General Clerk(Post Code -11)” so as to reach on or before the last date to the following address.

Negative marking will be there in every bank recruitment exam. 1/4th of the mark alloted to that question will be deducted if the answer is wrong.

West bengal has 113 clerical vacancies. For Probationary officers there won’t be any state wise reservation. In total there are 900 PO vacancies. And regarding your eligibility, your guess is as good as mine.
Sir, I visited the UBI’s website recently and after reading the complete details of various posts found that there are no vacancies for the post of clerks in Mumbai. Even the written test would not be conducted in Mumbai for the post of Probationary Clerks. Is it true?

As soon as you’ve done your BBM, you’ll get your provisional certificate within 2 months or so.. and get your convocation certificate within 1 year..Any one of the same is mandatory
