State bank of India, the largest bank in India has issued a recruitment notification in August, 2009 to recruit 11000 clerks into its banking operation.
Due to an extraordinary response to that advertisement, SBI management has decided to conduct the written test in three days (Sunday’s) with 2 sessions on each day.
The three dates of the written test are decided to be November 8, 15 and 22.
As said, the call letters for all the eligible candidates are being sent and they should arrive no later than 2nd of November, 2009.
Should you not get your call letter by November 2, you can download a duplicate call letter online from the SBI website using your DOB, registration number etc.
Candidates whose exam is scheduled on November 8th can download the duplicate call letter from the bank website between November 3 and 6 only.
Exam date on Nov 15 – Duplicate call letter between Nov 9 and 13 only.
Exam date on Nov 22 – Duplicate call letter between Nov 16 and 20 only.

The exam centres and dates are also being issued to the candidates via SMS, email.
Note that during the time of the written test, you’ll have to produce the original fee paid challan and the call letter with photo affixed (either original, duplicate or provisional).
- In case, you’re unable to download the duplicate hall ticket, you can visit the Head office of SBI in your respective City/State (between 10am and 5.30pm, after 2nd of November) with your original fee payment challan and any Photo identity proof to get a Provisional call letter issued
- In case the Original fee paid challan is lost, one has to approach the branch in which the fee was paid and get an appropriate letter from the bank authorities mentioning that the fee was duly paid.
- In case you get more than one call letter, you’ll have to produce all those call letters with the correct call letter stapled on top during the written exam. No photo needs to be affixed on other call letters.
- In case it is found that any candidate has appeared for more than one session, his candidature will be immediately cancelled.
