SBI 6100 Clerks in Associate Banks recruitment

State Bank of India’s, Central Recruitment and Promotion Department (CRPD) has issued a notification to recruit around 6100 Clerks in the 5 remaining Associate Banks’ of SBI, viz, State Bank of Patiala, State Bank of Mysore, State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur, State Bank of Travancore and State Bank of Hyderabad. Very recently in August, State Bank of Indore has been merged with State Bank of India so this notification doesn’t include vacancies in that Bank.

The 6100 vacancies are split among the 5 Bank’s as per requirement and a candidate can apply against any one Bank only.

The notification is yet to be put up in the SBI website but the Qualifications and application procedure remains the same.

As a quick reference, you need to be passed in class 12 with at least 60% marks (5% relaxation for SC/ST/PWD) as a minimum Education requirement. Any higher Qualification is automatically eligible.

Knowledge of computers and local language (such as Telugu for SBH, Kannada for SBM etc) is desirable.

Once the notification is up in the SBI recruitment page, you have to download the challan and pay the fee at any SBI Branch and come back to apply online.

No certificate copies should be sent during this stage.

Important Dates

Last date to deposit cash using challan is 30 October 2010

Last date to apply online is 1 November 2010

Written test is likely to be held on 16 January 2010.
