Pertaining to the RRB centralized employment notice 02/2010 for Goods Guard and ECRC (Enquiry cum Reservation clerk) , it is informed that the written test which is scheduled for June 27, 2010 is postponed/ deferred until further notice. The new examination date will be informed to the candidates as and when the written test date is fixed is on 26 September 2010.
This could be the result of the recent scam in the written test of RRB ALP and ASM on June 6 and 13 that was unearthed by CBI. Investigation may be going on whether the scam has extended to the written test for Goods Guard and ECRC.
Goods Guard notification
Earlier, CEN 02/2010 was released by various RRB’s in India for the recruitment of Goods guards. The pay scale for Goods guard is Rs.5200 – 20200 with a grade pay of Rs.2800.
There were 80 vacancies in Ajmer region, 48 in Allahabad, 38 in Bangalore, 26 in Bhopal, 49 in Bhubaneswar, 81 in Bilaspur, 15 in Chandigarh, 43 in Chennai, 10 in Jammu Srinagar, 34 in Kolkata, 168 in Mumbai, 353 in Ranchi, 117 in Secunderabad and 39 in Thiruvananthapuram region.
Selection for Goods guard involves two stages of written test, one of which was scheduled on June 27 (now postponed) followed by certificate verification.
Candidates with any Degree from a recognized University were eligible for the test.
New Call letters/ Hall tickets are already sent to candidates who applied for the notification. Any candidate who has not received Call letters must get a Duplicate call letter on 24 and 25 September.
