The following centralized Railway recruitment board notification (No: 04/2010) invites applications form all eligible Indian citizens for various vacancies under each zone.
Name of the post and number of vacancies
Commercial clerk: 1203 vacancies
Account clerk/typist: 182 vacancies
Ticket collector (TC): 823 vacancies
Junior clerk/typist: 309 vacancies
Trains clerk: 95 vacancies (only in Kolkata region)
Note that the above vacancies are combined vacancies that exist under all RRB’s. Depending on the requirement, each RRB gets some vacancies under each Job Post.
For all the above vacancies the pay scale applicable is Rs.5200 – 20200 plus a grade pay of Rs.1900 except for Commercial clerk who gets a grade pay of Rs.2000.
Application fee and how to apply
A DD of Rs.40 must be taken in favour of Assistant Secretary of the regional RRB against which the candidate wants to apply (for example, if the candidate belongs to Hyderabad, he has to take the DD in favour of Assistant Secretary Secunderabad etc)

Application forms and all required annexure can also be found on individual RRB websites. Completely filled in application forms should be sent to Assistant secretary or secretary or member secretary of the concerned RRB before the last date 30 March 2010.
Some RRB’s like RRB Chennai and Secunderabad, among others, also provide the facility to apply online.
