RRB CEN 05/2010 Update

The exam date for the recruitment of RRB Section Engineer, Jr. Engineer, Senior P.Way Supervisor and Depot Material Superintendent is tentatively fixed at 29 August 2010 (29.08.2010). The centralized employment notification (CEN) number for the same is 05/2010.

Note that this is only a tentative date of written test and the actual date which the RRB’s announce later may or may not be the same. The exact written test date will be available in the Hall tickets that candidates receive well in advance of the written test.

Most often than not, this date will be postponed to a later stage considering the present state of Railway Recruitment’s (See RRB Goods guard update for more information).

Earlier, different RRB’s released CEN 05/2010 on 6 March 2010 inviting applications for the above posts.

Selection for those posts will be done through a single stage written test followed by certificates verification to the shortlisted candidates. In addition to the number of vacancies available 30% excess candidates will be called for the certificate verification just in case some merit candidates choose not to join.

Final selection of candidates will be done after scrutinized medical tests for each and every shortlisted candidate.

If selected, section engineers and Depot Material Superintendent Grade I will be put in a pay scale of Rs.9300 – 34800 with a grade pay of Rs.4600, Junior Engineers, Depot Material Superintendent Grade III and Senior P.Way Supervisor will be in a pay scale of Rs.9300 – 34800 with a grade pay of Rs.4200.

Call letters (Hall tickets) will be sent to the eligible candidates well before the actual date of the exam. The call letter will contain the exact date and venue of your written test.
