Railway Recruitment Board, under the South Central Railways invites applications from Indian Nationals for the posts of RPF/RPSF constables.
Total number of vacancies is 263 out of which 211, 26 for Women and 26 for Ex-servicemen.
The selection of candidates will be done through a series of tests, starting with Physical test, verification of certificates and then a written aptitude test.
You’ll also have to possess the physical standard in terms of your chest, height and corresponding weight etc.
The Physical tests include Long running, Sprint, Long Jump, High Jump etc which you’ll have to complete with in the stipulated amount of time or distance, as the case may be.
For a general constable (Ground Duty) the physical test will be as follows (it may be same in case of RPF constables but you are advised to follow the specifics by the official advertisement only):
A 5km run should be completed with 24 minutes.
A Long jump of 11 feet must be successfully completed
A High jump of 3 feet 6 inches must be successfully jumped.
To be eligible for the selection procedure, you should be a pass candidate in 10 or its equivalent from a recognized board and be with in 18 and 25 years of age.
If selected, you’ll be given 9 months training and then be put into the work force.
