Regional centre for Urban and Environmental Studies, A sponsored unit by Ministry of Urban development (Government of India), with regional centre at Osmania University, Hyderabad invites applications for various posts in the following ranks:
Institution building specialist: This rank applies to both District specialists and Junior specialists. To be eligible, you need to have a Post graduate degree in Social work or Sociology.
Livelihood Specialist: This rank applies for both District level specialists and pertaining to Hyderabad alone also. To be eligible you must have a degree in Master of Economics or a MBA or M.Com.
For both the positions, the salary for District level specialists will be Rs.15000 per month and for Junior specialist, it’ll be Rs.13000 per month.
Applications should be made in the required format and must be sent to the Director, RCUES, Hyderabad before the last date 12 December 2009.
Note that these positions will be taken up on a contract basis.
About RCUES: The regional centre for Urban and environmental studies was setup at Osmania University in 1970 by Ministry of urban development, Government of India. At present, the main function of the unit is to provide research needs of 4 states including AP, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamilnadu nad 2 UT’s Pondicherry and Andaman Nicobar Islands. RCUES also concentrates on providing knowledge to the states governments on Urban transportation, e governance, Solid waste management, GIS, urban reforms, Proper implementation of JNNURM scheme etc.
