More than giving the Job requirements and application details for RAMCO International, this post is generally on how to approach towards recruitment advertisements given in News Papers.
When ever you see any recruitment notification in News Papers, be sure to check if the firm (or consultancy) has any website and if it has, go through it briefly. If there is any phone number in the advertisement, contact it immediately before even trying to apply.
When should you grow suspicious?
Consider the case of GCI enterprises. It advertised extensively across India in various News Papers posing as a Government company where it is actually not.
It asked to apply only though private courier since it didn’t have any registered address. People obviously smelled some fake thing there and most of the aspirants have avoided dealing with GCI any further.
Now consider RAMCO International. It is not a company, but only a recruitment agency (or call it a consultancy that caters man power requirements). It recently gave an advertisement in a News Paper claiming that one of its client (World’s largest sugar Mill) has given the job to RAMCO to recruit people.
Positions include Mechanics for Sugar mill, Turbine, Boiler, Pump, Hydraulic, Belt etc, Supervisors for Maintenance engineer, Belt and ITI in Electrical, Technicians, welders, fabricators, Machinists and Millers.
Candidates should have an ITI in respective trade with at least 8 years experience and the firm assures Rs.1.6 lacs of savings with free housing and travel.
Before you apply
- Be sure to ask RAMCO (a small search on Google gave its phone number as 020 24450779) who the firm (the world’s largest sugar mill) actually is?
- What is the fixed salary and what all account for Rs.1.6 lacs?
- Where are the positions based?
- And how will be the recruitment conducted?
The address of RAMCO International is ‘107, Ishan, Near Mati Ganpati, Narayan Peth, Pune, Maharashtra 411030’.
Don’t reach to the money stage or apply to the advertisement without confirming the above details
