New India Assurance Company Administrative officers recruitment

The New India Assurance Company Limited, a premier General Insurance company in India invites applications for the posts of Administrative Officer (AO) in Scale I under Specialized disciplines of IT and Generalists.

Total number of vacancies is 360 in which 50 are for Specialists (Group A) and remaining 310 are for Generalists (Group B).

Educational qualifications:

For specialists: ME/MTECH (in IT, Computer science)/MCA/MIT/MCM with minimum marks as 55% (50% for SC/ST) or a BE/BTECH (in IT/CSE) with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) from a recognized university.

For Generalists: Graduation with minimum 60% of marks (55% for SC/ST) candidates or Post graduation with 55% marks in any stream from a recognized university.

Preference will be given to those candidates who are from Engineering, Accounts, Law or Non-life Insurance background and to those who have working knowledge of Computers.

Age requirements:

For both the Groups the maximum age of a candidate as on 31.05.2009 is 30 years for general category, 35 years for SC/ST, 33 years for OBC and 40 years for PWD candidates.

Application fee and process:

A DD for Rs.500 (Rs.150) must be drawn from any scheduled bank in favour of ‘THE NEW INDIA ASSURANCE COMPANY LIMITED’ Payable at Mumbai.

Candidates should write their name, address, Group number and code number at the back of the DD.

Application form must be neatly typed or Hand written only in the given format (Given below) and must be sent to Post Box No.7641, Malad (West), Mumbai – 400064 along with the DD before the last date 17.08.2009.

The Envelop must be prescribed “NIACL administrative officer post (Group code) and SC/ST/BC which ever is applicable.

Selection of Students will be based on a All India competitive exam scheduled to be conducted on 25.10.2009 followed by Group Discussion and Interview only to those candidates who are successful in the written test.
