LIC AAO recruitment 2010

LIC of India invites online applications from eligible candidates for the following posts:

Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO, Generalists): 250 vacancies

Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO, Chartered Accountant): 100 vacancies

Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO, Legal): 20 vacancies

Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO, Company Secretary): 5 vacancies

Educational Qualifications

For Qualifications for AAO Generalists and AAO Chartered Accountant, please visit this earlier LIC AAO notification. For AAO Company Secretary, the candidate must be a member of Institute of Company Secretaries (ICSI) and for AAO Legal, one needs to have a LL.B qualifications with at least 50% marks and 3 Bar experience.

As on 1 November 2010, age of candidates should be between 21 and 30 years. These Age relaxations apply for reserved candidates. If the candidate belongs to a reserved category and is an LIC employee, will further get a relaxation of 5 years.

Selected candidates will be paid according to the new Officer scale of Rs.17240 – 32640. When all allowances are included, the initial monthly salary would be approximately Rs.27000 in a metro city.

Payment of Application fee

Eligible candidates, other than SC/ST/PHC’s must pay an application fee of Rs.400 in cash at any Branch of LIC of India. There is no challan for fee payment, so candidates should just provide the cash and in return get a ‘Miscellaneous receipt’. One should check that the receipt has your Name, Transaction number, date, branch code, Miscellaneous collection number and Account number 114033 printed correctly.

Applying online

After paying the fee, candidates must apply online by visiting http://jobs.licindia.co.in or by directly going to http://220.156.188.8:8080/LIC-0.1/LICRegistration.html

After completing all the fields and submitting the online application, a Unique Application Registration Number will be generated which should be remembered/ noted. If in case you were not shown this number, you should apply again. You should also take print outs of this application, which should only be submitted at the time of Interview.

No forms should be submitted to LIC of India at this stage.

Last date to pay the fee is 13 December and last date to apply online is 14 December 2010.

On 15 and 16 December, you’ll be allowed to modify online applications if you think there are any mistakes.
