Department of Posts, Andhra Pradesh region (www.knackpost.com) has issued a recruitment notification for Postal Assistant and Sorting assistant for 2010. Vacancies are available in the following areas:
Postal Assistants in Post Offices
Postal Assistants in Circle Office and Regional Offices
Postal Assistants in Savings Bank control Organizations
Sorting Assistants in Railway Mail service
Postal and sorting assistants in Army postal service
Postal Assistants in Foreign Post Offices
Postal Assistants in Mail motor services
Postal Assistants in Postal Stores Depots
In total, there are over 1000 vacancies in the above positions.
If selected, candidates will be paid according to the pay scale of Rs.5200 – 20200 plus a grade pay of Rs.2400 plus all allowances.
Candidates should be between 18 and 25 years. Relaxation in maximum age is as per Government of India rules.

How to apply
Application forms in the required format can be obtained from any post office in Andhra Pradesh by paying Rs.25. Forms can also be downloaded online, but the fee has to be paid in any Post Office and the receipt must be attached along with the application form.
Completely filled application form, along with the fee receipt and all required attested certificates must be sent to the appropriate Post Office address only using Speed Post or Registered post.
