Karnataka Post Postal and sorting assistant recruitment

Karnataka Post, a part of India Post invites applications for the posts of Postal Assistant and Sorting assistant.

Number of vacancies in Postal assistant post is 359 and Sorting assistant is 14.

There are also Sorting assistant vacancies in RMS Q- 5 posts and RMS HB – 15 posts.

The Pay scale of the posts is Rs.5200 – 20200 with a grade pay of Rs.2400.

You must be in the age group of 18 to 25 years to be eligible for the posts.

Age relaxation of upto 3 years for OBC’s, 5 years for SC/ST is applicable as per Government rules.

You must be a pass candidate in 10+2/12^th or its equivalent from a recognized board/University.

You may also need to have a knowledge on English and Hindi for some posts and have knowledge of local language Kannada.

Application fee is Rs.25 and application forms can be obtained from the HPO of Karnataka or Sub post offices in every District/Mandal/taluq head post offices of Karnataka.

Application forms can also be downloaded by visiting the Karnataka Post website www.karnatakapost.gov.in

Candidates will be shortlisted for the aptitude test based on the marks secured in 12^th class and it will be followed by a computer test.

Application forms must be completely filled in all respects and must be accompanied by copies of all required certificates like 12^th marks sheet, Memo, caste certificate is applicable etc.

Applications should be submitted at their respective post offices before the last date 26 October 2009 by Registered post or Speed post.
