IRCTC recruitment for various posts

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC), a Government of India Enterprise working under the India Railways department invites applications from eligible India citizens for various posts.

Assistant Supervisor (Finance): 30 vacancies. You need to be a commerce graduate with knowledge of computerized accounting. Experience in ERP is preferred.

Assistant Supervisor (HRD): 22 vacancies. You must be a graduate with a PG Diploma in Industrial relation/personnel mgmt/Labour laws with working knowledge of computers.

Assistant Supervisor (IT): 40 vacancies. You must be a graduate in any discipline with knowledge of computers with at least 6 month diploma or certificate course in computer applications.

For all the above 3 positions, the upper age limit is 28 years and pay scale is Rs.10000 to 22900.

Senior Supervisor (Tourism): 10 vacancies. You must have a bachelor’s degree in any stream with 1 yr regular diploma in travel and tourism from a recognized Institute with 1 year post qualification experience in any travel organizations. Knowledge of computers (MS Office is essential). You must be less than 28 years of age. Pay scale is Rs.11500 to 26300.

Executive (Catering): 170 vacancies. You must have a diploma or degree in hotel mgmt and catering from a recognized institute or University. You must have at least 3 years work exp in catering or hospitality industry preferably out of which 2 years should be in supervisory position.

Executive (Tourism): 21 vacancies. You must have a Bachelors degree in tourism studies or tourism mgmt from a recognized institute with at least 3 years work experience any public or reputed private travel company. Knowledge of Computers (MS Office) is essential.

Executive (HRD): 10 vacancies. You must be a graduate with a PG Diploma in either Industrial relations, Personnel mgmt or Labour laws with a minimum of 2 years work experience in HR Department. Working knowledge of computer is required.

Executive (IT): 14 vacancies. You must be a graduate in computer science or have a 1 year diploma in computer science from a recognized institute and have at least 3 years work experience in Java applications.

Executive (Finance): 20 vacancies. You must be a commerce graduate with at least 50% marks and 3 years work experience in computerized accounting. Experience in ERP is preferred.

For all the above Executive positions the maximum upper age limit is 30 years and pay scale is Rs.12600 to 32500.

There are also vacancies in Assistant Manager Positions in Finance, HRD, Catering, IT and tourism. The upper age limit for these vacancies is 35 years and pay scale is Rs.20600 to 46500.

How to apply

Application fee is Rs.300 (no fee for SC/ST) which should be paid in the form of a DD taken in favour of ‘India Railway catering and Tourism Corporation limited’ and payable at New Delhi.

After taking the DD, Candidates have to approach this website and apply online. No other forms of applications will be accepted. Online applications will be closed on 19 January 2010.

After applying online, candidates have to take a print out of the application, and affix a passport photo at the appropriate place. Send the original print out accompanied by the DD and attested copies of all required certificates by Ordinary post to Post bag 31, Kalkaji post office, New Delhi 110019.

Last date to receive the application is 3 February 2010.

(Note: While applying online, you must have 2 valid and working email addresses from 2 different service providers, like Yahoo and Gmail for example).
