Indian Oil Scholarships is a nice initiative by IOCL to provide attractive monthly stipend to bright students in India on a Merit cum means basis. The scholarships will be awarded in the following streams.
10+/ITI – Duration of scholarship will be 2 years. Number of scholarships to be awarded is 250. Qualifying examination is 10th standard with 65% marks (60% for SC/ST/OBC/Girls and 50% for PH/PC). Scholarship amount is Rs.1000 per month.
Engineering – Duration of scholarship is 4 years and number of scholarships on offer is 100. Qualifying exam is 12th standard with 65% marks (60% for SC/ST/OBC/Girls and 50% for PC/PH). Scholarship amount is Rs.2000 per month
MBBS – Duration of scholarship is 4 years and number of scholarships on offer is 40. Qualifying exam is 12th standard with 60% marks (same reservations exist). Scholarship amount is Rs.2000 per month.
MBA – Duration of scholarship is 4 years and number scholarship on offer is 60. Qualifying exam is Graduation with 65% marks (same reservations exist). Scholarship amount is Rs.2000 per month.
You must be at least 15 years of age and not cross 30 years as on 01.09.2009 to avail these scholarships.
Top Scholar from Engineering, MBBS and MBA and top 10 Scholars from 10+/ITI will receive an additional bonus of Rs.10000.
Students who are in the first year of 10+ (11th standard) or 1st year of 2 years ITI course or first year of Engineering/MBBS/MBA can apply online by visiting www.applicationnew.com/ioclscholar
If for some reason, you are not able to apply online, you can download the application containing the unique application form number and send it to ACE Consultants, Post Box No. 9248, Krishna Nagar Head Post Office, Delhi – 110051 before the last date 30 September 2009.
