Just like the CWE for PO, IBPS has released notification for CWE for recruitment of Clerks 19 Banks in India. But one difference between PO and Clerk is that recruitment of Clerks will be state wise. Hence, candidates applying for notifications from banks will only compete for the vacancies existing in their state.
One relief, however, is that the minimum educational qualifications have been un touched. It was earlier reported that minimum qualifications would be a Graduate Degree, on par with PO, but it has been decided that even a class 10 qualified candidates can write CWE.
Please note that this does not mean that you can apply for every participating banks’ clerk notification. A bank, at its own will, can decide the qualification it wants. Hence, if a bank decides that it only needs graduates, those who have written CWE with class 10, or 12 as their qualification, will not be eligible to apply.
The educational qualifications required to appear for CWE are pass in class 10 or its equivalent with at least 60% marks or pass in class 12/diploma or its equivalent with at least 50% marks or have a graduate degree from a recognized University.
Age must be between 18 and 28 years as on 1 August 2011.
The application process is similar to that of PO. You can either pay the fee (Rs.350 for General/OBC, Rs.50 for others) online through NEFT or pay in the bank using the challan form which will be generated once you complete the first step of online registration.
Payment of fee starts from 24 August and ends on 23 September.
Online registration opens from 25 August and closes on 24 September.
If you want to make any changes to your application, you can edit it until 26 September.
