The Employees Provident Fund Organisation, EPFO announced a recruitment notification to recruit 2382 Social security assistants and 11 Junior Engineer (Civil) vacancies.
Educational qualifications
Social security assistants: The candidate must have a degree from a recognized university or equivalent.
Must have a typing speed of at least 5000 key ins per hour.
A computer training certificate from any popular institute is desirable.
Junior Engineer (Civil): The candidate must hold a diploma in Civil/Electrical engineering.
Experience in Drawing and design is desirable.
Pay scale
Social security assistant: Rs.5200 – 20200 with grade pay of Rs.2400
Junior Engineer (Civil): Rs.9300 – 34800 with a grade pay of Rs.4200.
Age limits for both the posts is 18 to 27 years.
Application fee
A DD of Rs.200 must be drawn in favour of Regional Provident Fund Commisioner, Maharashtra payable at Mumbai.
For SC/ST/PH candidates, the exam fee is Rs.50
Last date to receive filled in applications is 08.07.2009 and for far flung areas it is 15.07.2009.

Hi, regarding the pay scale of ssa:Social security assistant: Rs.5200 – 20200 with grade pay of Rs.2400, can any one let me know what is “grade pay of Rs.2400″?

Grade pay of Rs.2400 means apart from your basic pay Rs. 5200 you will also get Rs. 2400/ (your starting pay Rs. 5200 + DA + 2400)
Gp is the grade pay, its decide the designation of the person
GP=1900 is the Lower division Clerk
2400= Upper division Clerk i.e SSA in Epfo with the initial pay of Rs.7510
2800= Assitant and in Epfo i.e Section Supervisor earlier the Gp of assitant was 4200
4600= Branch Manager. In EPFO it is Enforcement Officer earlier the Gp was 4200
Inital pay + Gp= BASIC
DA=Now 35% of BASIC
HRA= 10/20/30% of BASIC + DA it varies according to the population of the city
TA= 400/800 according the slab of the inital Pay
Medical allowance= Rs.1200 fix in epfo
