The notification for ICET and EAMCET (Engg) 2009 has been released and it has been decided that it’ll be a web based counselling for both of these entrance exams.
Every student who qualified in the above 2 entrance exams must go through the following steps:
Registration at the help line centres and certificate verification:
You can download the list of help line centers from http://apeamcet.nic.in/HLC_EAMCET_ICET09.pdf
You have to report at any one of the above centres above at the time allotted to you according to your rank. You have to pay a registration fee of Rs.200 at the help line centre.
Briefing at the help line centre:
After all the certificates have been verified you will be briefed by the officer present at the help line centre giving you the information on how to fill the manual forms and will also give you a Information Booklet.
Options exercising:
In this stage you have to select your option of colleges either from your home of from any one of the helpline centres. It is recommended that you select as many colleges as possible to avoid that state of not being allotted a seat in any college.
Follow the instructions carefully and proceed with the process. On the last day of your exercising options stage, all your un-freezed options will be freezed and you’ll no longer be able to change the options. You should take a print out of your options.
However, if you seriously want to change any option after the last day of freezing, you can approach any one of the help line centres on 31.07.2009 for ICET and 12.08.2009 for EAMCET and pay a fee of Rs.600 and execute your changes.
Each student will have 3 complete days for exercising their options. But it is recommended that you make a list of the colleges well ahead of the options exercising stage.
You can download the entire counselling notification for ICET from www.apicet.nic.in and EAMCET from www.apeamcet.nic.in.
These websites will also work as the websites where you’ll be exercising your options later.
