Coal India, the largest Coal producing company in the world and a Government of India Undertaking Navratna company announced Coal India Scholarship for underprivileged students and to those students whose family lost their land for Coal India or its Associates.
As a part of Corporate Social Responsibility initiative taken by the company, Coal India announced a scholarship for students below poverty live (BPL) and to those students whose parents lost their farming or home lands during the exploration of Coal India or its Associated/Subsidiary firms such as BCCL, NCL, CCL, WCL, ECL, SECL, MCL for the academic year of 2010 – 11.

The Scholar ship will be for an amount of Rs.10000 per academic year covering tuition fee, hostel fee and Incidental fee reimbursement. Students who are about to pursue graduation courses in the fields of Medical Science (MBBS) or Engineering (in the branches of Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and Mining) from reputed institutes like IIT’s, NIT’s or few recognized Government Engineering colleges are eligible for the Scolarship.
