Karur Vysya bank announced a recruitment notification and invites applications from eligible candidates for the posts of clerks in its banking operations.
Last date for application is 30.05.2009
Educational qualification
Any bachelor degree in 10+2+3 patters from college recognized by a UGC approved university with a minimum of 50% marks is eligible.
Students appearing for exam in 2009 too are eligible provided they submit their original provisional certificate at the time of joining, if selected.
Candidates who have their degree through Open University or correspondence are not eligible.
A computer course of minimum 3 months is essential for all those candidates whose major is not computers.
Age requirement
Candidate with a graduate degree cannot be more than 28 years and post-graduates cannot be more than 30 years.
5 years relaxation to SC/ST candidates is provided.
Selection will be based on performance in written test and Interview.
Application procedure
A DD of Rs.200 (Rs.50 for SC/ST) must be drawn in favour of “The Karur Vysya Bank Limited”, payable at Chennai only.
Candidates need to bring this DD at the time of written test.

why in the karur vysya bank they are getting DD commission of 25rs even for its own recriutment exam? In other banks i found that they are not getting commission for taking DD for its own recritment?
I am still not sure what is meant by commission. But if you are talking about the fee they take in addition to the application fee (generally Rs.10 for every 100 Rs) as a DD exchange rate, it is common and happens in every bank.
The application for the clerical exam 2009 at karur vysya bank could not found. In website it could be found? Will the last date be extended? I have taken DD of 200rs for clerical exam. I have found that no bank is getting commission for its own bank exam? But why in this particular bank alone they are getting commission? Kindly reply me..

Karur Vysya bank is a private bank and so will not give the vacancy details separately state wise. I guess this recruitment is concentrated to South India looking at the exam centers.
