Unlike BSNL JTO Notification which used to come on a yearly basis, at least up to 2009, TTA or Telecom Technical Assistant exam notification is made less frequently. Also unlike JTO which is conducted Nationwide (although a choice of 5 BSNL circles will be allowed), TTA is limited to each state or circle. Each BSNL Circle issues its own TTA notification when ever it sees the requirement.
Latest news on BSNL that’s making rounds is that the company is trying to remove quite a few of its Employee’s to cut the losses and that’s the reason why the JTO 2010 notification is still not announced. While I’m not sure about its authenticity, I can confirm one thing that BSNL is trying to go Public soon through an IPO.
And once everything settles down, you may see the JTO and TTA’s notifications coming out. While the eligibility for the JTO is discussed before, let’s see what you need to appear for the TTA exam.

BSNL TTA exam eligibility
You need to at least have a Diploma in Telecommunications Engineering/ Electronics Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Radio Engineering/ Computer Engineering/ Instrumentation/ Information technology. Any higher Qualification such as an Engineering Degree itself in any of the above streams is automatically eligible.
Alternatively, candidates having a M.Sc Electronics degree are also eligible for the exam.
You should be between 18 and 27 years of age (3, 5 and 10 years relaxation in maximum age exists for OBC, SC/ST and PH candidates respectively)
The TTA will be placed in the Pay Scale of Rs.7100 – 10100 plus other allowances.

recruitments for bsnl tta 2010 will out by october last week. Last year there was no TTA, so there is more chances of recruiting these year. Go on prepar.
