Bank of India (www.bankofindia.co.in), one of the top Public sector Banks’ in India invites applications from candidates from various states for the posts for ‘Clerks’.
There are a total of 2467 Clerical vacancies to be filled which are spread across various states. Candidates are informed that they will be applying against the vacancies that exist in their respective states.

Qualifications and other requirements
Candidate should have a Degree from any recognized University in India or have passed with at least 50% marks in HSC or standard 12 under 10+2+3 pattern or standard 11 under 11+4 pattern or its equivalent.
Candidates should have completed basic computer courses like MS Office from any training institute of not less than 3 months duration. This requirement can however be waived if the candidate has ‘Computers’ as one of the subject in Degree or Pre Degree level.
Candidate should have knowledge of local language in their states.
The age should be between 18 and 28 years as on 30 June 2010. Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and 10 years for PC candidates will applicable as per rules.
The Pay scale for clerks will be Rs.7200 – 19300, plus DA, HRA, CCA, Conveyance allowance, Gratuity, Pension, LFC, Medical aid etc.
How to apply
Eligible candidates should first download the payment fee challan from http://www.bankofindia.co.in/UserFiles/File/Challan-Clerks.doc and pay the fee (Rs.250 for Gen and OBC and nill for all others) at any branch of Bank Of India.
After paying the fee candidates should apply online by visiting http://app1.ibps.in/boiclmenu.asp (this link seems to be non-functioning). Hence please visit the new and working link http://registration.sifyitest.com/boicl/
After applying online candidates should download the application form, affix a photo and keep with them for producing it along with attested copies of all the required certificates during the Interview stage.
You should also remember your registration ID and password for future reference.
Last date to pay the fee and apply online is 5 August 2010.
