Assistant motor vehicle inspector notification from Apspsc

Andhra Pradesh public service commission invites online applications for the posts of Assistant motor vehicle inspectors in A.P. Transport subordinate service.

Application will be open from 13.04.2009 and closed on 30.04.2009

Total number of vacancies is 218.

Age requirement as on 01.07.2008 is 21 to 39 years.

Scale of Pay is Rs.8815 to 20300.

Educational qualifications

• The aspired candidate must hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering of a recognized University in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or a Provisional Act or a State Act or institution recognized by the University Grants Commission or any equivalent qualification. Or

Must hold a Diploma in Automobile Engineering granted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh or Technological Diploma Examination Board, Hyderabad or Any other equivalent qualification.

• Must hold a Motor Driving License and have experience in driving motor vehicles for a period of not less than 3 years and possess Heavy Transport vehicle endorsement.

Provided that where persons with 3 years experience in driving motor vehicles are not available, persons with two years experience in driving motor vehicles may be appointed.

Provided further that in case of Women, they must hold a Motor Vehicle driving license, if they are holder of Light Motor Vehicle Driving License only, they shall acquire the Heavy Transport Vehicle Endorsement within two years of their joining the service as Assistant Motor Vehicles Inspector, failing which their services will be terminated without assigning any reasons.

Application procedure

Only online applications are accepted. Interested and eligible candidates should apply online using the website www.apspsc.gov.in

Before applying the candidate must readily have a uploaded application form which has a passport photo of the candidate and the signature of the candidate below it(More details regarding this will be available at the time of application).

After applying, candidates are advised to take print outs of the application and also the challan which will be generated.

A fee of Rs.25 towards Application and Rs.80 towards exam must be paid by the candidates using the challan at any branch of State bank of India.
