APSRTC recruitment of ‘Officer under Training’

Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC, www.apsrtc.gov.in) invites applications from eligible candidates from the state of Andhra Pradesh for filling the vacancies in Officer under Training (OUT) cadre (See new update below)

Number of vacancies and Pay Scale

Officer under Training (Technical) – 14 vacancies

Officer under Training (General) – 23 vacancies

Note that the vacancies are provisional and may change at any time.

If selected, during the first year of training a fixed stipend of Rs.19000 will be paid after which the candidates will be considered into class I Junior Scale Officer cadre with a pay scale of Rs.19000 – 39000.

Age requirements

As on 1 July 2010, the maximum age for General category candidates should not be more than 27 years. However, the maximum age is extended by 5 years for SC/ST/BC candidates (which effectively becomes 33 years)

Educational Qualifications

Officer under training (Technical): The candidate should essentially have a Mechanical/Automobile Engineering degree from a recognized University or be passed in ‘A’ and ‘B’ sections of Institute of Engineers (India) Membership entrance test in either Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.

Officer under Training (General): The candidate should have a second class Masters degree in any subject from a recognized University or

Have a second class Graduate Degree in Law from a recognized University or

Be a graduate in any Engineering subject from a recognized University or

Be passed in Sections ‘A’ and ‘B’ of Institute of Engineers (India) membership entrance test in any Engineering subject.

Selection of candidates will be done through a written test followed by a Personal Interview.

There are also plenty of Conductor jobs in APSRTC that are waiting for Government approval.

Application forms (ICR forms)

Eligible candidates can purchase the applications forms (ICR form) from any Regional Manager Office (APSRTC) by paying Rs.200 (Rs.100 for SC/ST/BC candidates). Application forms will be available from 22 March 2010.

General Candidates who wish to apply for both the posts should pay Rs.400 and apply with a single ICR form. Completely filled in application forms should be submitted at the same Regional Managers Officer on or before 6 April 2010, 5PM.
