Vacancies in AP Seeds corporation

The notification for recruitment in AP Seeds (AP State Seed development corporation) will be released shortly. The file for the recruitment of 30 Seed Officers is signed by AP Agriculture Minister Raghuveera Reddy and is sent for the scrutiny of Finance and Chief Ministers. Once that is done, a notification for the same will be announced. There are a total of 47 vacancies in AP seeds out of a total possible head count of 98.

Qualifications required

Note that these are expected qualifications as seen in a recent notification from National Seeds Corporation and the Qualification needed by AP Seed corporation may or may not be the same.

Candidates should have a minimum of 2nd class Masters Degree in Botany or 2nd class Master’s Degree in Agriculture with specialization in any of the following:

Agricultural economics, Agricultural extension, Plant Physiology, Nematology, Entomology, Plant Pathology, Horticulture, Seed technology, Agronomy, Agricultural Botany or Plant Breeding and Genetics.

Apart from the above educational qualifications, candidates should also have a minimum of 2 years experience in a field related to seeds or a broader field of Agriculture, farm management from a good organization.

The applicable pay scale could be Rs.12600 – 32500

Age of the applicants should not be more than 35 years.
