AIEEE 2011 rank estimate

AIEEE 2011 is done, albeit with minor hiccups. Most of you may also have guessed your marks by verifying with answer keys provided by various coaching institutions. Now the next step is the counselling for allotment of seats, which will be based on the rank secured by you.

Remember, there are various NIT’s and other top Engineering institutes which admit students based on AIEEE score. Even though there are things like reservations based on category of student and local state, roughly, you need a rank of 7500 or below to get a seat in NIT in top demand streams of Computer science, Electronics and Electrical Engineering.

Seeing the feedback of many students, it appears that Physics was very tough and Mathematics was easy, while Chemistry lying somewhere between those two.

So lets’ see what rank you could get with the marks you scored:

Rank (AIR): Marks

1-500: Any score greater than 310

501-1000: Marks between 310 – 285

1001-2700: Marks between 284 – 255

2700 – 5000: Marks between 254 – 231

5001 – 8000: Marks between 230 – 206

8001 – 12000: Marks between 205 – 180

12001 – 15000: Marks between 179 – 162

15001 – 24000: Marks between 161 – 135

24001 – 38000: Marks between 134 – 110
