700 clerks vacancies in Indian bank

Indian bank, a premier public sector bank has announced a recruitment notification to recruit 700 clerks into its banking operations.

Only online applications are accepted.

Online applications will be opened from 20.04.2009 and closed on 16.05.2009.

Educational qualifications (as on 01.01.2009)

• The candidate must have A Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government or A pass with 50% or more marks in Higher Secondary examination of 10+2 of the 10+2+3 pattern / Intermediate / Pre University or any equivalent examination  /  Diploma in Banking recognized by Central / State Government or UT Administration.
• Computer literacy shall be an essential qualification, which the candidate must either possess or acquire within six months of joining the Bank.

Age requirements

Candidate must not be below 18 years of age and be not above 28 years of Age as on 01.01.2009.

Relaxations of 5 years, 3 years and 10 years is provided for SC/ST, OBC and VH/HI/OH persons respectively.

Selection procedure

Selection will be based on performance of candidates in the written test followed by an Interview.

The written test will have 4 sections viz, Reasoning, English, Numerical ability and clerical aptitude in objective format comprising of 200 marks.

English test is only for qualifying nature and marks obtained in that will not be counted when making the merit list.

There will also be a separate descriptive test which the candidates have to qualify.

Application fee

Rs.50 for SC/ST/PC and Ex-service men and Rs.200 for all others.

The above fee must be paid in any branch of Indian bank using a challan before applying online.

The above payment must be done on or before 16.05.2009

After paying the fee, one has to apply online using the details in the challan.

The online payment link will be available from 20.04.2009.

THe original payment challan must be kept safe as it should be returned to the invigilators during the written test along with the call letter.
