295 PO vacancies in Andhra bank, total 448 vacancies

Andhra bank, a premier public sector bank in India, has announced a recruitment notification to recruit 295 probationary officers (post code:1), 15 technical officers (post code 2), 15 Officer HR (post code 3), 11 Security officers (post code 4), 12 chartered accountants(post code 5) and 100 marketing associates (on contractual basis) (post code 6).andhrabank

Age requirements: (As on 01.04.2009)

For post codes 1, 2, 3: 21 years to 30 years

For post codes 4 and 5: 21 years to 33 years

For post code 6: 21 to 25 years.

Relaxation in age is allowed to backward classes according to Government rules.

Educational qualifications (As on 31.03.2009)

For post codes 1: Graduation in any discipline with minimum 60 % marks from a recognized university.

For post code 2: B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical/Civil/Electrical with I Class with 60% marks or equivalent CGPA from any university recognised by UGC/ any AICTE accredited Institution.

In addition to graduation in Engineering with First Division Candidates with MBA (Finance) from any University recognised by UGC/ any AICTE accredited Institute will be preferable.

For post code 3: MBA (HR)/MA (HRM)/MA (Social Work with Specialisation in PM & IR) with 1st class with 60% marks or equivalent CGPA from any university recognised by UGC/AICTE accredited Institution

Post qualification experience is not necessary for above 3 posts.

For post code 4: A degree in any discipline or equivalent qualification from a recognised University and a post qualification experience  as an Officer with minimum 5 years commissioned service in the Defence force (The service rendered for a continuous period of 5 years is equivalent to Graduation) or A Police Officer not below the rank of Asst. S.P./Dy S.P. with 5 years service or Officers of identical Rank in Para Military forces with minimum 5 years service.

Preference will be given to Security Officers working in Banks/PSUs/ reputed Private Sector Organizations.

For post code 5:  Graduate of any recognised university with a pass in the final examination of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India

For post code 6: Graduation in Arts/Commerce/Science with 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA from any University recognised by UGC

Knowledge of local language is essential

Knowledge in Computers (MS Office use of web is essential)

Period of Contract: -Two years with a review of performance at an interval of six months

The contract may be renewed subject to satisfactory performance and requirement of the Bank.

No post qualification experience is required for post codes 5 and 6.

Selection procedure

Selection of candidates will be based on performance in written test followed by a Personal Interview for post code 1 and for other posts, the selection may also include Group discussion. Only those candidates who qualify in the written test and rank high in merit list will be called for the Interview.

Written test consists of two sections, objective and subjective. The objective test comprises of Reasoning, Quantitative ability, General knowledge and English language ability. The first three sections will be printed both in Hindi and English but the English language ability will only be printed in English.

Application procedure

For applicants in whose locality Andhra bank branches are present, he/she should only apply online using the link present in the AB website. The required fee can be paid in any Andhra bank branches near by. Also there is no need to send any certificates if candidate is applying online.

Other candidates in whose localities Andhra bank branches aren’t present should draw a Demand draft of Rs.400 (Rs.75 for SC/ST candidates) in favour of “Andhra bank recruitment project – 2009“, payable at Mumbai only, from any scheduled bank.

The DD should be dated between 17.04.2009 and 07.05.2009.

A recent passport size photo must be attached at the appropriate place and all required copies of certificates must be attested by a gazette officer viz. Date of birth certificate, degree marks memo, provisional cersitificate etc.

Candidates must write their name, Registration number and date of birth at the back of DD.

Application, DD and required attested certificate copies must be sent to Andhra bank Recruitment project-2009, Post box number.8218, Dahisar (East), Mumbai – 400068 in case of post code 1 (Probationary officers) and for the rest of the officer posts the application must be sent to  Andhra bank recruitment project 2009, Post box no. 8590, Kandavali (East), Mumbai – 400101 only by an ordinary post.

Last date for receipt of applications by post is 12.05.2009 and for far flung areas it is 19.05.2009.

Online registration date will be opened from 17.04.2009 and closed on 07.05.2009.

I am a post graduate in Retail and merchandising management. i want to apply for the PO post. I have got more than 60% marks in Post Graduation but not in Graduation, does i still qualifies the eligibility criteria??
