Enabling Backlinks in blogger

Backlinks are the links coming from other blog’s that link to your post. When someone links to your post you see his post link beside your post comments link under “links to this post”. This is not to be confused with Trackbacks which however are not available in blogger. By default in blogger the backlinks are disabled and you need to enable them should you want to show off your backlinks strength.

Now to do that go to the settings tab and then to the comments tab and then enable the ‘Show’ radio button under Backlinks sections.

Once done, save your settings. The next time when some one links to your posts you’ll be able to see his/her post link and keep track on who is talking about your blog.

Google always keeps a close look on the security aspect of its products and no wonder why trackbacks are not enabled in blogger.
