Posting articles through email in Blogger

Publishing articles on Blogger via email

One of the many exiting features of Blogspot enabled blogs is the ability to post your articles via email. At times where you are unable to access Blogger.com for some reasons or your country has blocked Blogger.com (Which some countries are increasingly doing these day), you always have the option to publish your articles through email and keep your blog alive.

To publish articles via email all you have to do is to enable this feature by visiting the settings part in your blogger dashboard. Under the settings, you will find ‘email & mobile’ option under which you will find ‘Posting Options‘ as a sub-section. Type a strong password (SecretWords) in the place provided and select either Publish emails immediately or save emails as draft which will be saved in your blogger account as a draft and can be immediately published when you login to your Blogger account next time.

Remember to keep this password secret or else anyone who knew this email ID would be able to publish articles in your blog.

The subject line in your email post will become the title of the post and the email body along with any images will be the article. If you have any signatures enabled in your email account, it will be published too. If you don’t wish that to happen, just put a #end mark at the end of your email body.

I tried uploading pictures into the body of the email (for email posting). It did not work- it was white boxes on my blog, with no pictures. I posted from gmail. Attaching pictures works, but puts them all at the top of the page. I would like more customization- which is why I like the idea of putting pictures in the body of the email. What am I doing wrong?? Any ideas why the boxes are white, with no pictures???

but unfortunately thru mail2blogger we cannot add TAGS to our posts !! And this is the biggest drawback of this option.

The pictures that are embedded/inserted through outlook (not as an attachment) is not shown properly in the post. Thought the rest of the portions are all ok, pictures will not be shown. Can anyone be of little help please ?

I didn’t try using Outlook but I didn’t have any problem when I directly used Gmail. Did you use Gmail or any email directly any time?

What was your problem? The embedded pictures will be published as pictures in your blog. I tried it. And now with the option of embedding pictures getting even easier in Gmail you should have no problems with this option.
