Adding a background music to your blogspot blog

by Sriraj on January 19, 2009

Ever got irritated by using music gadgets in blogger which get to make your page load ever soo slowly?

If so,you probably need to look at this cool gadget. Its called the ilike. To start off first head here  and create you playlist from choosing from various tracks available from the ilike database.Save it and if everything goes alright you’ll see a ‘add to blogger’ button by clicking on which you’ll be taken to your blogger dashboard.Simply click the ‘add widget’ button to the blog on which you like to play a background score.

When you’re done, you’ll see the gadget along with other gadgets in the gadgets section i.e. ‘add page element’.

This is a very light script and will have very little effect on your page loading time.

But the point to remember here is,many visitors simlply don’t like a background music as it consumes their bandwidth in very little time.So unless you’re a music freak and don’t care about your visitors you can well use this application.

Yea, I agree with chem, it sounds fancy to add a background music to your webpage. But imagine a situation where in you have rock music as the background and i am visitor who loves rap? where are you going…???? I would get irritated by the music n would leave which would be the worst case…

As you said I wouldn’t recommend any sort of media in a site as it simply increases the page load time thereby irritating the visitor
